When I go on a shopping trip with Brandon and he is in the shopping cart, there is always someone who wants to take a peek of him. Most of the time people would comment "Oh, he is so cute!" well, I guess I should say "thank you." (But I rather you say it to me, really! LOL) I usually just smiled. Some would ask how old is he, and I gladly tell them his age. Most of the time I can sense if someone wants to look at the baby, but I just pretend that nothing is going to happen and look the other way....well, I noticed there are these "starer" who would anticipate me to walk pass them and they will turn their head real quick to stare at the baby, then they will turn and look at me, just to check to see if I look like him.
And today, at the grocery store, this old man was walking behind me following me for half the vegetable section and he finally came up to me and asked "can I pinch his cheeks?" Hmmm, old man/vegetable section/dirty hands.... it was just plain awkward. So, in such situation, should I ask "can I pinch your cheeks too?" as a come back? Probably not.
Why can't people just leave the baby alone?
